The names of the children are included as are the arithmetic examination questions for standards four and five.

The Strathcona School District No. 216 was formed in 1892 to serve residents in the Strathcona District south of Edmonton. The District amalgamated with Edmonton School District No. 7 in 1912.

Pre-1905, Inspectors are from the Government of the North-West Territories and post-1905 from the Alberta Provincial Government. Documents record the Inspectors' evaluation of schools, classrooms, school grounds, equipment, pupils and teachers within Edmonton School District No. 7.
The fonds consists of the attendance register of the Horse Hill Protestant Public School District No. 266. The Horse Hill Protestant Public School District No. 266 was established 10 Feb 1892. In the early 1900s the words "protestant" and "public" were removed from the official title.
