Series contains documents generated by Department of Education Inspectors. Pre-1905, Inspectors are from the Government of the North-West Territories and post-1905 from the Alberta Provincial Government. Documents record the Inspectors' evaluation of schools, classrooms, school grounds, equipment, pupils and teachers within Edmonton School District No. 7.

Item is a letter requesting evidence of teaching qualification for six teachers in order to facilitate grant payment. Evidence of teacher qualifications required for the following teachers: Lillian D. Maze, Alva Sparling, Daisy Junkin, Elizabeth Ford, Agnes Shearer and K. Kirkwood.

High School and University Matriculation Examination Board Meetings

Item contains reports of the Committee on Special Cases. These reports include discussion of whether or not individuals will be allowed to advance to the next grade, whether or not individuals should be granted matriculation, the transferability of credit from other school districts and whether or not individuals may write an exam. Discussion is also given in the reports to the admission of special cases to Normal School. The grade levels evident in the reports are grades VIII-XII. The item also includes a list of examination subjects, correspondence about examination applications, analysis of examination results and the minutes of the High School and University Matriculation Examination Board meetings. Annual Report : Alberta Education

Series consists of Annual Reports from Alberta Education. Prior to 1949-50, the reports cover the calendar year. Beginning in 1949-50, the reports cover the school year. Each Annual Report includes reports from divisions within Alberta Education as well as statistics. The 1907 Annual Report includes appendices which address regulations of the Department of Education, programs of study, and Annual Examinations. Dates are not inclusive, many years missing.

Series consists of reports produced by teams of school inspectors visiting Edmonton Public High Schools. Inspectors comment on and critique the school’s philosophies, administration, programs, counseling services, library services, subject areas, and the physical plant. The report of McNally School only addresses the Biology Department and the Library Services.
